Privacy Policy

Yonder is a focus and work tracking app. This policy explains what information Yonder uses and why.

Information We Collect

Yonder may store:

• Focus session duration, date, start time, end time, and selected work area.
• Work areas created by the user.
• Goal and reminder preferences.
• Profile name, profile image, and Google email if the user connects a Google account.
• Focus room participation details such as room code, display name, status, duration, and timestamps.
• A device push notification token (from Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging) if the user grants notification permission, so the app can alert the user about focus room activity while it is not open.

How We Use Information

We use this information to:

• Track focus history and reports.
• Sync work areas, goals, sessions, and rooms across devices when a Google account is connected.
• Show reminders and weekly summaries.
• Support focus rooms.
• Unlock and manage Yonder PRO features through Apple in-app purchases.
• Show ads to free users after focus sessions and offer ad-free use with Yonder PRO.

Account Sync

Yonder can be used locally. If the user connects a Google account, selected app data may be synced with Firebase services so it can appear on other devices signed into the same account.

Payments

Yonder PRO purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Yonder does not receive or store full payment card details.

Advertising

Yonder may show ads to free users through Google AdMob after focus sessions, including solo timers, stopwatches, and focus rooms. Google AdMob may process device, advertising, usage, diagnostic, and approximate location information to provide, measure, and improve ads, depending on the user's consent choices, region, and iOS privacy settings. Yonder PRO removes these in-app ads.

Notifications

Yonder may send local notifications for reminders and weekly summaries if the user grants notification permission. If the user is signed in with a Google account, Yonder can also send push notifications about focus room activity (such as someone joining a room or a room starting) using a device push token stored in Firebase; this token is removed when the user signs out or deletes their account. Notification settings can be changed in iOS Settings.

Photos

If the user selects a profile photo, Yonder uses the iOS photo picker. The selected image may be stored locally and synced if account sync is enabled.

Data Sharing

Yonder does not sell user data. Yonder uses Google AdMob for ads in the free experience, and Google may process information as described in Google's privacy terms and the user's consent choices.

Yonder uses Firebase and Google Sign-In for authentication, sync, and focus room functionality.

Data Deletion

Users can permanently delete their account and all stored data directly within the app by navigating to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account and Data.

When account deletion is triggered:

• All cloud data under users/{uid} (sessions, work areas, goals, push notification tokens) is permanently erased from Firebase Firestore.
• Focus room participation records are removed and hosted active rooms are ended.
• The Firebase Authentication user account is deleted.
• All local device data (sessions, work areas, goals, reminders, and local profile metadata) is wiped.
